THE 7 HABITS(S)
OFSTED EIF Overview of Research
"...The curriculum and the provider's wider work support learners to develop their character (including resilience, confidence and independence) and help them know how to keep physically and mentally healthy."
"...Intentionally investing in character education using a whole-school approach, modelling desired behaviours at both school and teacher level, integrating character with a strong curriculum rather than doing this as a standalone, separate activity, developing pupils' intrinsic motivation, shared core values and positive relationships have been posited as key ways in which schools can develop pupils' character."
"...No contradiction between a focus on learning and well-being."
"...Evaluations typically show that well-coordinated whole-school approaches are most likely to have an impact, while uncoordinated small-scale interventions are not."
“To flourish is not only to be happy, but to fulfil one’s potential.”
Healthy Happy Minds was formed as a collaboration project to connect education and health care as a means to provide children with the tools to nurture habits that promote resilience, connectedness and positive physical and mental health.
The aim is, through supporting children to become more mind and body fit, to reduce not only mental health issues and disease in our youth, but also to promote good health in adulthood.
